What players get by email

Every email goes out from GLAR, one per player, with their own name and personal link. The link needs no password.

A gig offer has the subject Gig offer: name, date. It says which chair you want them in and lists the band, date and downbeat, venue, address, venue phone, web site, dress, pay, setup and your notes. It is signed with your name and the band's name. Players answer by tapping the link. If they hit Reply instead, the reply comes to your email, so you can mark them in or out yourself.

Players also get an email when:

• you send a date poll, and on its reminder day if they left a date blank
• you pick the date, or call off the poll
• you call off a gig they had an offer for
• the day before a gig they're in, and about two hours before it (see Reminders)
• they haven't answered an offer after two days, or the gig is close
• a book or equipment goes out to them, the day before it is due, and when it is overdue
• you email the band, or a bandmate writes them

You get an email when a player turns a gig down, when they change back to yes, and when a poll closes. On Mondays you get a note about the week ahead if the band has gigs.
